The former Paris Saint-Germain manager was the club’s automatic choice for the coaching job, after Jose Mourinho left the La Liga giants at the end of last season to join Chelsea.

Ancelotti has achieved great successes in his managerial career, having won two Champions League titles with AC Milan, double with Chelsea, league title with PSG and two UEFA Super Cups as well.
