Real Madrid Highjacks Isco From Manchester City


Real Madrid are set to sign Isco from Malaga, according to Spanish sports daily Marca.
The Spain under-21 midfielder dazzled in the European Championships this month, but new Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini had hoped he could convince the playmaker to follow him to Eastlands.
Instead, it is a move to the Spanish capital for Isco - full name Francisco Román Alarcón - for a reported fee of £20.4million plus another £2.5million in incentives.
Madrid had looked at the possibility of including makeweights such as Jose Maria Callejon or Alvaro Morata but the deal reported by the Spanish press is a cash-only transfer.
Carlo Ancelotti should be unveiled at the Bernabeu shortly following Paris Saint-Germain's hiring of Laurent Blanc.
