David Villa to Join Athletico Madrid this Week

David Villa has finally rejected a move to England, and making a summer transfer to Spanish side,Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish international was linked with a transfer move to Tottenham, but Villa on Monday ditched the English side and agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid worth around £4.5million.
Villa had one more year left on his contract with Barcelona, and Spurs were believed to have had the upper hand for his signature.
“The agreement and the signing of Villa as a new player at Atletico will be formalised after the player has taken a medical,”Atletico said on their Twitter feed.
Arsenal were also in the mix to sign Villa, even inquiring about his availability in January, but a deal didn’t go through.
Villa lost his place in the Barcelona team, after he got a horrific injury in 2011,in the FIFA World Club Cup.
The arrival of Brazilian wonder-kid,Neymar would further have pushed him down the pecking order.
Villa would be seen as the direct replacement for Colombia striker Radamel Falcao, who left for big-spending Monaco. The deal is expected to be completed this week

Best option. With Neymar and Messi around coupled with the fact that Iniesta and Fabregas can play on the flanks. Good for him
