Rooney out for One Month

Rooney was forced back to England from United’s training tour in Bangkok, after he tore his hamstring just a day into the club’s training exhibition games,in the far East.
A statement on United’s official website says: “Following a scan this evening on a hamstring injury sustained in training, it has been decided that Wayne Rooney should return home immediately for further assessment and rehabilitation.”
“It is anticipated he will be unavailable for selection for a month.”
But there is increasing speculation over Rooney’s future at Manchester United, with Chelsea having made him their number target this summer.
New manager,David Moyes, before he departed for Bangkok, reiterated once again that Rooney will not be sold by the club.
“I will say he is training great,” he told talkSPORT on Wednesday. “They are telling me it is the best shape they have seen him in for a long time. From that point of view I am taking it as a positive and I am going to try and get the best Wayne Rooney I possibly can.”
United first competitive game this season is against Wigan Athletic in the Community Shield, before beginning the defence of their Premier League title against Swansea City,a week later.
