Keshi to Recall Yobo
Stephen Keshi has hinted that Joseph Yobo will soon be recalled to the national team.
The Super Eagles captain has been frozen out of the team since Nigeria were crowned as African champions in January. But Keshi has now revealed that the Fenerbache defender will soon return to the team.
Coach Keshi disclosed that he has been in constant touch with the player who he insists remains the captain of the national team.
“Yobo is very much alive in this team than any other player. Yobo and I spoke before the game (vs Ethiopia) and our ambition is to make sure that he gets that 100th cap and by God’s grace he will get it,” Keshi said.
Yobo has lost his place in the Super Eagles after falling behind Kenneth Omeruo, Azubuike Egwuekwe and more recently James Okwuosa in the pecking order.
