Wenger: We are Ready to Fight for the Tittle

Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger over the weekend  warned
rivals his team is up for the title fight.
The Gunners passed what Wenger called their toughest physical test of the season against Southampton. And that left him convinced they can now scrap it out with the best.
When it comes to playing the beautiful game, leaders Arsenal have few Premier League peers.
But the long-standing question has always been whether they could rediscover the steel to go with their style.
On this season’s evidence so far the answer looks like ‘yes’.
Overcoming energetic surprise package Southampton and their relentless pressing game, despite being below-par, was another indication that the Gunners are there to stay in the title race.
And Wenger said: “That is the most pleasing thing.
“We were tested by being challenged for every single ball. They made it very difficult for us.
“At stopping us from playing, Southampton were the best we have seen and we responded quite well. We always had the focus and for 90 minutes I never felt that we eased off.
“This win shows we are ready for a fight when it doesn’t go as fluently as we want, that we can fight as well.
“We could see a good togetherness. We knew that we were sometimes in trouble but you felt that they were ready to fight for each other.
“That is the solidarity level that was needed. It’s very important.”
