2014 World Cup: Keshi Wants USA Camp for Eagles
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi wants his team to camp in the United States of America in preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Keshi revealed that he chose and proposed USA to the hierarchy, because the weather conditions would be similar to that of Brazil, when the World Cup tournament approaches.
“I have proposed that we camp in the United States because by the time we would be opening our camping the US would have the same weather as Brazil,” Keshi said.
“There are several US cities that would be hot like Brazil and would have the same temperature like Sao Paolo, where we would be based at the World Cup.”
On his plans for friendly games,Keshi noted that only Japan have shown interest in playing the Super Eagles, but that he would like to play countries that have similar playing styles to those in Nigeria's group.
“Considering the countries we have in our group, I would like the Eagles to play countries from the region that have the same play style. But it would also depend on the availability of such countries because some of them may have concluded their friendly arrangements already,” he said.
“ While in Brazil for the draws I was told Japan were interested in playing us. I would also like to play countries like Peru.”
