United target talks about his Future

If football was not such a funny old game, Ander Herrera may now be a Manchester United player rather than a regular on the Athletic Bilbao bench.Whatever happened in the final hours of last summer’s transfer window, the result was more farce than fairy-tale; with reports of “imposters” – who turned out to be anything but – and a player apparently convinced he was leaving, only to be left high and dry when David Moyes reportedly balked at a release-clause that he never had a chance of haggling down.
In the interim, United have played their way into form while Herrera has gone from regular starter to perennial substitute. But he has now gone on record to discuss his short-term future, and the word “Manchester” was nowhere to be heard.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Herrera was more interested in talking about his current team and his hopes for the rest of the season.
While Bilbao have been fantastic at home this season – winning five and drawing two of their seven games – their away form has seen them drop 12 points from a possible 18. But that is something Herrera wants to put right.
I do not know why we win regularly at home but not away,” he said. “Sometimes football does not have a clear explanation. What we need to get into our heads is that if we want to be at the top of the league, we need to win on all fields.”
And on a more personal level, Herrera said he hoped to contribute more goals in the future.
I have to improve not so much my arrival into the area,” he added, “but to get more options to score.
