Wenger: I am Ready For Summer Splash
Arsenal are ready to spend big in the summer, claims Arsene Wenger, despite not opening the cheque book in the January transfer window.
Talks of a move big money move for Schalke wonderkid Julian Draxler, came to nothing. But the French boss said the club is ready to spend when needed, urging patience until the summer.
Wenger told the club’s website: ”Look, we are not against spending, but at the moment we are focused on the second part of the season, and at the end of the season we will see what we will do.
”The media have announced a lot of transfers in their papers that have not happened, in many places, that means it is not as easy as it looks even with money, to buy the right players in that period.”
