Nasri signs 5 Years Contract extension with City

Any pain Samir Nasri felt at being excluded from
France’s World Cup squad will be eased with the
agreement of a lucrative five-year contract at
Manchester City .
The announcement of Nasri’s new deal should be
followed by similar offers to the likes of Joe Hart, Edin
Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov, although England
international James Milner is reluctant to sign a new
contract as he wants to play more regular first-team
football.
Nasri, who had two years left on his previous deal,
enjoyed an excellent season at the Etihad Stadium as
City won their second league title in the space of three
years, as well as the Capital One Cup, and is happy to
commit his long term future to the club.
At 26, Nasri’s best years should still be in front of him,
despite the fact he has fallen out of favour in France,
and the forward has a good relationship with City
manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Nasri moved to Manchester from Arsenal for £24 million
in 2011, and although he appeared to be on his way out
of the club under former manager Roberto Mancini,
following a series of clashes with the Italian, he has
blossomed under his Chilean replacement.
