Van Gaal: My Plans for Manchester United

Louis-van-Gaal-NaijaBallerLouis van Gaal will arrive in Manchester for the first time as United manager this week.
The Dutchman returned from the World Cup with the Netherlands squad yesterday and travels to Manchester after just two days off.
Van Gaal is expected to push ahead with a series of moves in the transfer market this week with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal and Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels top of his wishlist.
The former Bayern Munich boss, who has already spent £60m on Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, will spend two days at United’s Carrington training ground before flying to Los Angeles with the team on Friday.
United have four friendlies in the USA and a possible fifth if they reach the final of an eight-club tournament in Miami on August 4.
Van Gaal hasn’t met most of the United staff and will use time before flying off to become acquainted with his new surroundings.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it. I’ve only met two people from the daily management at the club – the chief scout and the chief executive officer.
“And I’ve met two of the owners. It’s time that I get to know more people at the club.”
The Red Devils kick off their season on August 16 at home to Swansea.
