FIFA 14: Top 10 underrated stars
Here is Prime Soccer Blog's top 10 most underrated stars in FIFA 2014
10. Gylfi Sigurdsson - 77
Icelandic midfielder Sigurdsson - who suffered World Cup playoff heartbreak at the hands of Croatia earlier this week - often frustrates Tottenham fans with his inconsistency but, in a season where Andre Villas-Boas' men have looked rather toothless in attack, he has provided a rare bright spark.
9. Alvaro Arbeloa - 77
While obviously not one of the more celebrated members of the modern Spanish squad, full-back Arbeloa is a model of consistency who has been playing at the very highest level for a number of seasons now.
8. Matija Nastasic - 77
Although he certainly did not cover himself in glory following a mix-up with goalkeeper Joe Hart that cost Manchester City a potentially valuable point at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League recently, a rating of just 77 seems harsh on Serbian international Nastasic who has otherwise established himself as one of European football's most-promising young defensive talents.
7. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - 77
While his recent injury woes may have led many to overlook his talents, Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a very strong campaign for Arsenal last year and made considerable waves for England on the international stage.
6. Wojciech Szczesny - 79
While he has often polarised opinion among Arsenal fans, Polish goalkeeper Szczesny has progressed well and has gradually improved his reputation from somewhat of a laughing stock and the weak point of Arsene Wenger's backline into one of the Premier League's most reliable stoppers.
5. Ramires - 80
At first glance, 80 might not seem a rating to complain about.
4. Rafael - 78
Right-back Rafael has not always been a darling of the Old Trafford faithful, but he has evidently worked tirelessly in recent seasons to establish himself as an important member of the first-team set up at Manchester United.
3. Michael Carrick - 82
Again, 82 is certainly not a terrible rating by any means. However, in this case, I certainly do not think that it accurately reflects the massive importance of the player in question.
2. Neymar - 84
Many players would surely be downright chuffed with a seemingly lofty rating of 84. However, for a footballer of Neymar's talent and enduring class, it is curiously low.
1. Paul Pogba - 79
In my humble opinion, Pogba is comfortably the most underrated star on the latest edition of the popular FIFA series.
9. Alvaro Arbeloa - 77
