Keshi has no regrets on Iheanacho’s exit

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has remained defiant following Kelechi Iheanacho’s exit from the team’s camp, despite being hugely impressed with the FIFA 2013 U-17 MVP. Keshi stated he has no regrets, but admitted he couldn’t have stopped Iheanacho from moving to better his career, adding that he will give the opportunity to another player.
“The move is for his career and a better life; he has to move on with his career and ultimately, we also need to move on with our preparations but we’ll give another play an opportunity to also impress”
Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho’s father, James Iheanacho has confirmed that he will be leaving the country with Kelechi latest on Friday to seal a deal with EPL side Manchester City.
“I can’t be certain for now but I know that between now and Friday we’ll leave the country for Manchester City” he told Brila Fm.net
