Andre Villas-Boas approached over becoming new West Brom manager

Villas-Boas 'in talks over taking West Brom job'

Andre Villas-Boas could be set for a quick-fire return to management after West Brom reportedly approached him over taking the reins at the Hawthorns.
Villas-Boas was only sacked by Spurs on Monday, just hours after Steve Clarke also lost his job at West Brom, following a frustrating run of results.
But according to the Times, the Portuguese coach might not be out of the game for too long, with the Baggies approaching him over becoming their new manager.

It’s claimed that Villas-Boas tops their list of targets, which also includes ex-Liverpool defender Mauricio Pellegrino, Ralf Rangnick at Red Bull and Real Madrid assistant Paul Clement.
It’s not clear if Villas-Boas would be interested in stepping down to a club like West Brom, having previously coached Porto, Chelsea and then Spurs, but he is keen to prove himself in England.
If the deal did go ahead, he could face Tottenham as early as Boxing Day, with West Brom making the trip to White Hart Lane.
