Keshi: We are going to Brasil to Compete for Honours
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is confident that they would go to the 2014 World Cup to compete, and not just make up the numbers at the competition.
Nigeria has been drawn in group F of the FIFA World Cup,where they would come up against Argentina,Iran and Bosnia/Heregovina.
Having steered the Super Eagles to winning the 2013 African Nations Cup in South Africa,Keshi believes that they are going to give their best at the World Cup in Brazil.
“We are going to Brazil to compete for honours. We are not going there to make the numbers. Our objective remains to post an impressive performance in Brazil and the boys share this same objective and are willing to do everything possible to achieve this aim”, Keshi was quoted to have said on Vanguard Sports.
Keshi was quite confident that the Super Eagles share the same optimism he has of doing well at the tournament.
“My joy is that my boys have been telling me they want to show the world what they are capable of doing at the finals next year summer. We respect all the teams but do not fear any.” Keshi added.
