Atsu wants Loan Deal Extended

Chelsea midfielder Christian Atsu is not in favour of
a move back to Stamford Bridge, and as talkSPORT
are reporting, would prefer another loan spell at
Vitesse.
Jose Mourinho had several key decisions to make
about players who were at the club. With the depth
of their squad in various positions, multiple players
had to be sent to different clubs to give adequate
exposure for the season. For this reason, and to
give its academy players further experience, Chelsea
began a mutually beneficial relationship with Dutch
club Vitesse, where the Blues sent several players
there over the years to give them the right
experience.
Atsu began his career as a youth player at Porto in
2009, and signed a professional contract with the
Portuguese club in 2011. After a loan spell at Rio
Ave, his stint at Porto did not last long, as Chelsea
registered their interest in signing the player on a
permanent transfer. The move was completed last
year, and Mourinho decided to send Atsu to Vitesse
for the season. The Ghanian is enjoying the
attacking football at the club, and would rather
repeat this spell than sit on the bench at a bigger
club. However, the final decision lies with Chelsea,
with the strong possibility that several players could
leave the club in the summer.
