Del Bosque handed Costa, Navas boost

Spain coach, Vincente del Bosque was a happy
man on Friday afternoon after he was told that
Diego Costa and Jesus Navas will likely be fit
enough to feature for the side at the World Cup.
Costa sustained an hamstring injury while playing
for Atletico Madrid against Barcelona in the last
match of the season. The striker returned to action
after one week on the sidelines to feature for the
La Liga champions in the Champions League final
against Real Madrid. But it appears he might have
rushed his return as he could only last eight
minute.
Early test revealed that the Brazilian born striker
will be out for at least two weeks making it
unlikely for the forward to make the final 23-man
list.
However, del Bosque has kept faith with the player
he convinced to play for Spain instead of his
native Brazil, stating that he will not name his
final 23-man list until he is sure of the fitness level
of his star striker.
Also, Manchester City winger, Jesus Navas also
looks set to make Spain’s final 23-man list after
his fitness level improved over the last one week.
"The outlook is good. On Friday they will have
tests. We will make the decision on Saturday
morning,” del Bosque told reporters at a press
conference.
