John Obuh Hints On Possible Resignation
Coach of the Flying Eagles,John Obuh has hinted that he will no longer continue as coach of the team,but believes that they gave a good account of themselves at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Turkey.
The Flying Eagles on Tuesday crashed out of the Under 20 World Cup,after they lost 2-1 to Uruguay in the second round of the tournament.
In a statement by the media officer of the team,Samm Audu,which was obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN),Obuh hinted that he will no longer be coach of the Flying Eagles.
“In spite of playing a man short for half of the match, we fought a good fight,” he said
“The match has been won and lost and we accept the loss in good faith.”Obuh said
He however added that : “our target at this tournament was not to leave the stage this early, but I hope the next coach will take it from where I stopped.
“What is very certain is that Nigeria is a football nation, blessed with lots of talented players that could be world beaters some day,” he added.
There is no official word yet over the future of Obuh by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF),but it looks that Obuh wants to move before he is pushed.
