Wenger: Women should be allowed to manage Male Teams

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has jokingly called
for women to be allowed to manage male football
teams since they take care men at home!
The Frenchman was talking at his weekly press
conference ahead of the Gunners curtain-closer in
the Barclays Premier League against Norwich on
Sunday.
The 64-year old was speaking about this previously
inconceivable situation because the football world
was taken aback by the appointment of Helena
Costa as permanent manager of French division 2
side Clermont Foot.
Wenger, whose side achieved Champions League
qualification with two games to spare, was palpably
in high spirits and said: “I like it, we have men
managing women why should women not manage
men?
“It happens to all of us that we are managed at
home by women, so why not?
“The only thing I believe is always to defend
competence.
“Are you masculine, feminine, if you are competent
you get the job.
“Having looked at her experience, she has very little
experience as a coach but maybe she has top
qualities and will show that.
“It’s good that the girls have a chance with the
men, why not?”
