Keshi says Yobo Remains Eagles Captain
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has once again reiterated that Joseph Yobo is still in his plans for the national team.
Yobo last played for the Super Eagles in February, after lifting the 2013 African Nations Cup,but has since not been invited to the national team by the technical crew.
When asked if he would consider bringing back the 32-year old defender,Keshi noted as far he can still make an input in the team that he would.
"Yobo is part of us; he is still our captain. I speak with him all the time and if he thinks he is ready we will bring him back.
“But it is not about whom you are, it is about what you can give Nigerians.
“I don’t do this sentiment stuff. We see European players that are 39-year-old and they still play for their national teams and they are quality players.
“If a player is going to give me and the team what we want no matter the age I will play that person,’’ he said.
